We welcome Emma Washbourne, as our new Head of Operations.
Sat 01 Jan 2022The Trustees are delighted to welcome Emma Washbourne to the Central Team at Fioretti Trust. Emma, our new Head of Operations, will begin her journey with us at the beginning of the Spring Term. Her role will involve establishing partnerships with our schools and supporting the Executive Leadership Team with operational, compliance and statutory tasks. Emma brings a wealth of experience to the new role. Here is Emma's pen portrait:
Emma qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and worked for both a specialist criminal law practice and a commercial law firm in Birmingham before moving to teach law. Emma holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Post Compulsory Education and has experience of teaching undergraduate, postgraduate and A-level students. She has extensive experience of curriculum design, quality assurance and programme leadership. Emma has been employed by St. Francis C of E Primary School for the last three years and has developed a strong operational understanding of the Primary sector. Emma is committed to improving educational opportunities for all young people and brings this energy to the new Head of Operations role.

Muhammad Qureshi joins our Board of Trustees
Tue 21 Sep 2021The Board are thrilled that Muhammad has been appointed as our 9th trustee. He is a Human Resources Practitioner; based in Birmingham, Muhammad has taken on a number of roles providing advice and guidance to government service providers across the UK. Through his breadth of experience and rich professional network he facilitates people development, strategic human resources management and effective conflict resolution. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the area of policy review; having originally qualified as a lawyer. He has worked with management teams across the NHS for several years supporting on strategic HR matters, compliance and governance development initiatives. Muhammad has a keen interest in social values with a focus on creating healthier, productive, safer and more inclusive workforces.

We welcome our newest trustee: Karla Mulrain-Gobbinsingh
Tue 08 Jun 2021The trustees warmly welcome Karla to the Fioretti Board!
Karla has over 20 years’ experience working in primary education, within church schools, where she has had roles at all levels of leadership, including governance. Her skillset includes experience in Teaching and Learning, Performance Management, Recruitment, Assessment and tracking of pupil attainment and progress. Karla is also a senior designated safeguarding leader. Most recently Karla has been acting headteacher, leading throughout the pandemic and navigating a range of challenging issues including significant changes in government guidance. Karla has a passion for classroom teaching and is committed to ensuring the positive educational experiences and outcomes for all children.

The trustees warmly welcome St Mary's to our trust

The Trustees are delighted to welcome the 3rd school to our multi-academy trust. St Mary's officially transfers to Fioretti Trust today; a two-form Primary Church of England School + Nursery (Handsworth). It is an exciting time for the trust; we have collaborative plans for each school to learn and grow together. We firmly believe that each school has an equal mark on the trust: mutually benefitting from being in the same trust family.

St Mary's CoE Primary School Academy to join our Trust
Thu 19 Nov 2020The trustees are delighted to share the exciting news that the DfE has approved a third school to join Fioretti Trust: St Mary's CofE Primary School Academy in Handsworth. It is currently a stand alone Academy, and the St Mary's governors were keen to join a MAT for the collaboration opportunities.
St Mary's is a lovely school and the trust is looking forward to formally welcoming them to the Fioretti family next term.
There is legal paperwork to do, plus consultation meetings with staff (TUPE) and parents/carers. Updates will be posted.

St Barnabas officially joins Fioretti Trust

The Trust have been working in partnership with the St Barnabas team since 2015; so the transition has been smooth and we are delighted to welcome them aboard!

Fiona is a partner at Clarke Willmott and brings a wealth of experience; especially in company law.
